For over a decade, Fabien Westerhoff gained unparalleled access to the best in director driven award winning cinema, working for blue chip film licensing companies on both sides of the channel, in Paris and London.

Most recently serving as Head of Sales & Distribution for WestEnd films, he handled worldwide licensing for films by Ralph Fiennes, Michael Winterbottom, David Gordon Green, Fernando Leon and Jeremy Saulnier among others.

Before WestEnd, he worked at HanWay Films for 6 years, where he launched sales and distribution label HanWay Select in 2010, acquiring and licensing foreign language films and feature documentaries such as Nick Cave’s 20,000 Days on Earth, Bernardo Bertolucci’s Me & You, Takashi Miike’s 13 Assassins, Mark Cousin’s Story of Film, Fernando Trueba’s Chico and Rita and Bob Weide’s Woody Allen documentary, as well as running the company’s classic film business, representing Wim Wenders, Bernardo Bertolucci, Merchant Ivory and the British Film Institute.

Before moving to London, he worked at sales boutiques Coproduction Office and Funny Balloons in Paris, handling commercial and critical hits such as Cannes Golden Camera Winner 12:08 East of Bucharest and Chile’s Academy Awards entry Tony Manero by Pablo Larrain.

Fabien Westerhoff graduated from the Bordeaux Business School in France and the University of Applied Sciences Muenster in Germany. After a postgraduate in film production at La fémis, he started his career in film in 2004.

He is an alumni of the Inside Pictures programme and fluent in French, German, Spanish and English.
